The confetti cannons pop at 8:30 a.m on October 22 to start the anti-runners 5K, the 2022 Gritty 5K presented by Penn Medicine! This one-of-a-kind race is full of hot dogs, paint, relaxation, games, cake, and other secret surprises. Never ran a race of any kind in your life? Never want to run another race again? A one-of-a-kind Gritty 5K t-shirt, exclusive finisher's medal, AND FLYERS GAME TICKET is included with your registration. If you cannot join us in person on October 22, you'll want to sign up for the Virtual Gritty 5K to create chaos from anywhere in the world.

How to get your super cool Gritty 5K gear:

In-person participants can pick up their packet including the 2022 Gritty 5K t-shirt and bib on October 19 at the Wells Fargo Center. Friends or family members are welcome to pick up participants' bibs at packet pick up. You can also elect to have your gear shipped. 

Virtual participants receive finishers' medals and t-shirts in the mail at no additional charge (even if you do not really run)! 

All gear will ship in early October.

AWARDS

In-person participants: This race isn't like the rest, grab your best orange fur for a shot at our coveted Best in Fur award. Fastest male and female along with other surprise awards, given by the best mascot in the game, will also be given out after the race. 

Virtual participants: Tag us in your photos! We want to see your courses, scenic views, costumes, hot dogs, finish lines, and more to award Gritizens from around the world unique prizes!
