The agreement marks SeatGeek’s first partnership with an NHL team and SeatGeek’s first partnership in the influential Philadelphia market
The Flyers and Wells Fargo Center will provide fans with a transformative new ticket resale experience
Before Flyers tickets go on sale at PhiladelphiaFlyers.com to the general public, SeatGeek is the best place to purchase tickets
Today, the Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Center announced a landmark agreement with SeatGeek, the mobile focused ticketing platform, making SeatGeek the official ticket exchange for the team and the arena. Through the agreement, the Flyers became SeatGeek’s first ever NHL ticketing partner, and the agreement is SeatGeek’s first official partnership in the Philadelphia area, one of the country’s largest and most important markets. The multi-year partnership distinguishes SeatGeek as a “Keystone Partner” of the Flyers and Wells Fargo Center, the highest designation that the team and arena give to their largest sponsors. Before single game tickets for the 2021-2022 season go on sale on September 23rd, SeatGeek is the best place for non-season ticket holders to purchase single-game Flyers tickets.
“Whether you’re cheering on the Flyers or singing along with your favorite band at Wells Fargo Center, our goal is to make every single part of the fan experience top-of-the-line. We understand that our fans want choices, and oftentimes, tickets on our primary ticketing channel sell out. SeatGeek’s cutting edge platform makes it easier than ever for fans to buy and sell tickets on the resale market, especially on mobile devices, so we’re confident that our fans will love this new partnership,” said Mike Shane, Chief Business Officer for the Philadelphia Flyers and Wells Fargo Center.
“With their investment and dedication to a great fan experience, the Flyers and Wells Fargo Center are the perfect partners to kick off our first ever NHL deal,” said Sarah Kettler, Senior Director of Brand and Customer Marketing at SeatGeek. “We couldn’t be more excited to reach a new audience, and build SeatGeek’s brand together.”
SeatGeek offers the best fan experience in the ticket exchange industry with frictionless buying and selling, a top-rated mobile app, and seamless account management across any device. The SeatGeek platform also streamlines the experience for Flyers fans, from purchasing tickets on the secondary market to entering the arena. With SeatGeek, fans can remain contactless by scanning their tickets at entry gates and easily browse and compare listings through SeatGeek’s proprietary Deal Score™ technology.
The agreement between the Flyers, Wells Fargo Center, and SeatGeek is a major component of the organization’s renewed focus on the fan experience. In just the past few years, the Flyers and Wells Fargo Center have kicked off a $300 million transformation of Wells Fargo Center that has positioned the arena as a world class venue for decades to come. Wells Fargo Center added in new, customized spaces like the Center City Club and the New City Terrace, which includes the Assembly Room, BetRivers.com Sports Lounge, Revolutionary Row, Liberty Lofts and the Disassembly (Rage) Room – all designed to appeal to a new, diverse generation of fans.
The Flyers and Wells Fargo Center are also investing heavily in new technology to make fans’ experience as easy and enjoyable as possible, from the installation of the world’s largest indoor kinetic scoreboard to an additional 10,000 square feet of state-of-the-art LED systems throughout the arena. Wells Fargo Center also now provides contactless and cashless options for ticket scanning, food and beverage orders, parking, and more. The arena also recently completed an $11 million replacement of its HVAC systems, installing a new, state-of-the-art air filtration system that replaces all the air in the arena’s seating bowl every 30 minutes.
As its first NHL partner, the Flyers join a growing list of some of the most well-respected teams in all of sports to partner with SeatGeek. These teams include the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Arizona Cardinals and the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers and New Orleans Pelicans. SeatGeek is also the official ticketing partner of Major League Soccer and is the majority ticket provider across the English Premier League with partners like Liverpool F.C. and Manchester City F.C.
